Music. It is notes on a staff. It is melody and harmony. It is lyrics and phrasing, rhythm and dynamics. Yet it is so much more. Music is emotion. Music can touch the hearts and lives of people when mere words are meaningless. Whether upbeat and celebratory, or slow and inspirational, music is an essential part of worship.
Willeo has always been known for its rich musical heritage, having been blessed through out the years with many individuals who have given of their time and talents, and that still holds true today. Our current music department, under the direction of Karla Jordan, is comprised of an adult choir as well as many soloists, duos and ensembles. Our services are a blend of several worship music styles, including: Southern Gospel, traditional hymns, contemporary and praise & worship. Additionally, we welcome everyone who has a desire to worship the Lord in song. Our scheduled rehearsals are Wednesdays at 7:15 pm and Sundays at 10:45 am.
